It’s Never too Late to Straighten Your Smile

Braces as an adult? No way. At least, that was what I thought when my dentist told me that I was going to have to see an orthodontist about my crooked teeth. But my teeth were so misaligned that they were causing me pain when I chewed, so I decided to at least look into it. Turns out braces today are nothing like the ones my friends had when I was a kid. Mine were practically invisible, and I didn't need to wear them that long. I started this blog to encourage other people like me who are nervous about the prospect of wearing braces as an adult. My straight smile is so worth the trips to the orthodontist, and wearing braces was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Read on to find out more about how you can straighten your smile.

Clear Teeth Aligners | A New Way To Achieve The Perfect Smile

by Jacqueline Byrd

If you're looking for a new way to achieve the perfect smile, clear teeth aligners may be right for you. Here's what you need to know about clear teeth aligners and how they can help you achieve the beautiful smile you've always wanted.

How do clear teeth aligners work?

Clear teeth aligners use a series of custom-made trays that gradually move your teeth into place. WebMD states that each tray is typically worn for two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series, and you'll need to wear your clear teeth aligners for 22 hours a day for the best results.

Are clear teeth aligners right for you?

Clear teeth aligners may be right for you if you have mild to moderate crowding or spacing issues. They're also a good option if you have an overbite, underbite, or crossbite. However, traditional braces may be a better solution if you have more severe dental problems.

What are the benefits of clear teeth aligners?

There are many benefits of clear teeth aligners over traditional braces, including:

  • Discrete. Clear teeth aligners are practically invisible. Unfortunately, traditional braces are very noticeable, which can be a turnoff for some people.
  • Removable. You can easily remove clear aligners when eating and drinking, so you don't have to worry about food restrictions. Traditional braces are glued to your teeth, making it difficult to eat certain foods.
  • Customizable. Clear teeth aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth, so you can be sure they're comfortable. Traditional braces can be uncomfortable and sometimes painful.
  • Comfortable. Clear aligners are made of smooth plastic, so they won't irritate your gums or cheeks the way traditional metal braces can. Also, there are no wires to poke the inside of your mouth.
  • Less time. Additionally, treatment time is usually shorter with clear teeth aligners. You might complete treatment in as little as six months.

How effective are clear aligners?

Clear aligners are very effective at straightening teeth and correcting bite issues. In fact, they can be just as effective as traditional braces but with the added benefits of being less noticeable and more comfortable.

If you're looking for a new way to achieve the perfect smile, clear teeth aligners may be right for you. With their practically invisible design and shorter treatment time, clear aligners offer many benefits over traditional braces.
